Contextual Captain

How do you get a millennial target to stop skipping and start paying attention to your preroll ads? Easy, just make them contextually relevant to their interests. And so the Contextual Captain was born.

 

Captain Obvious took part some of YouTubes hottest trends to get people to stop skipping and create some fun and effective content.

The Contextual Captain campaign was short-listed for this years Communication Arts Awards in the digital category. See the below videos, on the left is a compilation of the prerolls and on the right is a case study that explains the idea in more detail.
